The Anderson-Pelham family descends from Francis Anderson of Manby, Lincolnshire who married Mary, daughter of Charles Pelham of Brocklesby, Lincolnshire. Their grandson Charles Anderson, 1st Baron Yarborough assumed the additional surname and arms of Pelham.
