Louis I (1773 – 1803) King of Etruria

  • Louis I (1773 – 1803) King of Etruria. Married Infanta Maria Luisa of Spain (1782 – 1824) daughter of Charles IV (1748 – 1819) King of Spain. Napoleon Bonaparte   compensated the House of Bourbon for their loss of the Duchy of Parma with the Kingdom of Etruria, a new state that he created from the Grand Duchy of Tuscany.

Married firstly Princess Maria Pia of Bourbon-Two Sicilies (1849–1882), daughter of Ferdinand II, King of the Two Sicilies and secondly Infanta Maria Antónia of Portugal (1862 – 1959) daughter of Miguel I (1802 – 1866) King of Portugal. He had 24 children, 12 with each wife.
