- George Monck, 1st Duke of Albemarle, Earl of Torrington, Baron Monck, Baron Beauchamp and Baron Teyes KG (1608–1670) He had female descent from the Beauchamp family, Earls of Warwick, which family had also held the titles Baron Beauchamp, Baron Teyes and anciently the Norman comté of Aumale, traditionally latinized to Albemarle. His great-grandmother was Frances Plantagenet, daughter Arthur Plantagenet, 1st Viscount Lisle KG (1470–1542) illegitimate son of King Edward IV.
