• Sir Roger de Clarendon, (1345/1360-1402), son of Edward of Woodstock, (1330-1376), Prince of Wales, “the Black Prince“ and Edith de Willesford. The Smith, later Bowyer-Smyth Baronets, of Hill Hall claim descent through his daughter.

• Arthur Plantagenet, (1461/1475-1542), 1st Viscount Lisle, KG. He married Elizabeth Dudley (c. 1480-1525), daughter of Edward Grey,Viscount Lisle. They had three daughters the second of whom, Elizabeth (born c. 1514), was the great grandmother of George Monck, (1608-1670), 1st Duke of Albemarle, who quartered Viscount Lisle's arms and used his crest.
