• William Bentinck, 2nd Duke of Portland(1709–1762), married Lady Margaret Cavendish Harley, daughter of Edward Harley, 2nd Earl of Oxford and Earl Mortimer and Lady Henrietta Cavendish Holles, herself the daughter of John Holles, 1st Duke of Newcastle-upon-Tyne KG and Lady Margaret Cavendish, a daughter of the Henry Cavendish, 2nd Duke of Newcastle-upon-Tyne KG. His wife was a coheiress to the Barony of Ogle through her maternal grandmother.
  

3rd Duke of Portland KG

• William Henry Cavendish Cavendish-Bentinck, 3rd Duke of Portland KG (1738–1809), married Lady Dorothy Cavendish, daughter of William Cavendish, 4th Duke of Devonshire and by Royal License in 1801 continued for himself and his issue the name of Cavendish in addition to that of Bentinck, having first assumed the name in 1755 under the will of his maternal grandmother, the Countess of Oxford and Mortimer.

• William Henry Cavendish Cavendish-Scott-Bentinck, 4th Duke of Portland (1768–1854), married Henrietta, elder daughter of General John Scott and the time of his marriage he obtained Royal Licence to take the name "Scott" in addition to that of Bentinck.

• William John Cavendish Bentinck-Scott, 5th Duke of Portland(1800–1879) On his death the co-heirship to the Barony of Ogle devolved on his sisters.

• William Bentinck, 1st Graf Bentinck (1704-1774), younger son of William Bentinck, 1st Earl of Portland, married the daughter of the last Count of Aldenburg.
• Christian Frederick Anthony Graf Bentinck und Aldenburg (1734-1768), Sovereign Lord of Kniphausen and Varel in 1754. Married Lady Ursula Christine de Reede-Ginkel, daughter of 2nd Earl of Athlone.
• William Gustavus Frederic Bentinck, 2nd Graf Bentinck und Aldenburg (1762-1835), Sovereign Lord of Kniphausen and Varel. This small state was mediatised in 1807 and finally incorporated into Oldenburg in 1854.
• William Christian Frederick Bentinck, 3rd Graf Bentinck (1787-1855), in 1845 the German Diet recognised the right of the Counts Bentinck to the dignities and privileges of the mediatised Houses of Germany and are styled Illustrious Counts. Son of Major General John Bentinck and Lady Jemima de Reede-Ginkel, daughter of 5th Earl of Athlone.
• Lt.-Gen. Charles Anthony Ferdinand Bentinck, 4th Graf Bentinck (1792-1864), in 1888 his descendants were all granted permission to use the Countly title in the United Kingdom. Knight Commander,Teutonic Order.
