  • Scrope Howe, 1st Viscount Howe and Baron Glenawley (1648–1713) grandson of Sir John Howe of Compton, 1st Baronet. Son and heir of John Grubham Howe MP, of Langar, by his wife Lady Arabella Scrope, 3rd legitimated daughter of Emmanuel Scrope, 1st Earl of Sunderland.

1st Earl Howe KG

  • Richard Howe, 1st Earl Howe, 4th Viscount Howe, 1st Baron Howe KG (1726–1799) Barony Howe of Langar created with a special remainder, only failing heirs male of his body to his daughters in order of birth and the heirs male of their bodies respectively.

On the death of Earl Howe the Irish Viscountcy of Howe and the Barony of Glenawly, which he had inherited from his elder brother, the Viscountcy and Earldom of Howe created respectively in 1782 and 1788 became extinct, and the Barony of Howe also created in 1788 passed to his eldest daughter, Sophia Charlotte Curzon.
